If I ever hear anyone knock The Witcher’s voice acting again, I’ll have to duel them with rusty sporks.

I always thought the voice acting in The Witcher was good, but CDPR raised the bar in TW2 and showed why you don’t need big names on the marquee.  The dialogue is incredibly sophisticated, smart and a rare treat in gaming for those who love words.  At the same time, Geralt’s acerbic, no-bullshit wit is still there.

People also criticized the translation from Polish for TW1, but I always felt that even with the weaknesses of translation, the fact that it all has a flavor of something outside pop mainstream Americanese was a strength.  That is even more evident in TW2.  I am impressed.
